Upon graduating from Royal College of Art's prestigious MA program, South Korean designer Kanghyuk Choi's graduate collection has been picked up by SHOWstudio / MACHINE-A to launch in Spring 2017. Choi established his eponymous label KANGHYUK in 2016, exploring the themes of safety and protection through the use of materials in their purest form. The concept originated from his graduate collection, which is created using airbags that are manually disassembled from their oxygen tank and their fabric components unpicked, then re-utilised in their pure original airbag pattern.
