Designer Giles Deacon trained at Central Saint Martins in the early 1990s. Deacon debuted his own label 'Giles' with an Autumn/Winter collection for 2004. In 2000, he joined Bottega Veneta as head designer alongside stylist Katie Grand. Shortly afterwards he was re-appointed to another position designing for Gucci itself Giles also works closely with illustrator and textile designer Rory Crichton, and with British weavers Stephen Walters and Sons. In 2009 Giles Deacon won the ANDAM prize, and began showing his collections on the Paris catwalk from S/S 2010. In 2010, Deacon was appointed Creative Director of the label Emanuel Ungaro.
