Magdalena Morey
Magdalena Morey is a Polish-born painter based in Asturias, Spain. Trained in textiles and painting in Lublin, Poland, her practice is shaped by a life lived across cultures. Working between figuration and abstraction, Morey creates layered compositions that explore memory, identity and human connection. Her paintings evolve through an intuitive process of making, allowing unexpected narratives and forms to emerge. Abstraction serves as a means of examining the beliefs, patterns and structures that shape how we understand ourselves and relate to others. Morey has exhibited internationally across Europe, North America and Asia, and is represented by galleries throughout Spain, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Portugal, the United States and Panama.
