Piet Paris
Piet Paris is a fashion illustrator. Paris developed a technique that makes his work unique in its multi-layeredness and vigorous composition.
Piet Paris is also a curator and educator whose career spans over three decades at the intersection of fashion and visual culture. Since the late 1980s, his work has shaped the language of contemporary fashion illustration, collaborating with leading houses and institutions including Viktor & Rolf, Prada, KLM Air France, and Saks Fifth Avenue, and contributing to publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Elle.
Beyond his practice as an illustrator, Paris has played a pivotal role in fashion education and curation. He is the founder of the Arnhem Fashion Biennale and the Fashion Institute Arnhem (ArtEZ), and currently lectures in Fashion Drawing at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK). He also served as Creative Director of Harper’s Bazaar Netherlands (2014–2019).
