Jan Douek

Jan Dudek (b. 2001, Lublin) is a Polish painter currently based in Warsaw, where he studies graphic arts at the Academy of Fine Arts. Working primarily with oil on lightly primed linen, Dudek preserves the natural texture of the canvas, allowing the surface of the material to subtly shape the character of each work.

His paintings draw from moments and situations taken from everyday life. Moving between reflection and immediacy, Dudek explores the tension between past and present, capturing mixed emotional states where rebellion and nostalgia coexist. Through this quiet examination of memory and lived experience, his works hold a delicate balance between personal narrative and emotional atmosphere.
