SURFACE TENSION

Surface Tension is an exhibition by SHOWstudio and Karyn Nakamura (aka @frog_spit_simulation) that explores the computational metaphor 'neural networks' via an ambitious five-screen multichannel installation.

Revealing the process of visualising thought, Surface Tension sets out to ask the question ‘How can art engage with technological processes to create new ways of understanding the world?’

The exhibition was the culmination of Nakamura's artist residency at SHOWstudio, where we documented her creative and installation process from creation to completion, broadcasted live to the public.
