Jessica May Underwood

Jessica May Underwood is a British Fashion and Editorial illustrator working in pencil, watercolour and Lithograph etching. A graduate of Central Saint Martins, Underwood began her career hand drawing at Alexander McQueen. Her pencil drawings were worked into the iconic scull scarves, hand painted print and embellishment and continue to sell internationally. Underwood's second position was taken alongside stylists Katy England and Alister Mackie in London, drawing and designing narrative proposal for the curation of the duos private collection. 2015 debuted Underwood's largest project to date, the Harrods Spring windows. Her hand drawn displays saw her credited for the largest independently illustrated campaign ever undertaken by the luxury department store amounting 35 painted florals fabricated into large scale paper installations. The monumental project continued to at HRH Chelsea Flower Show the largest of its kind in the world. The installation is now the first fragrance garden ever to be exhibited in the shows 103 year history. Working between studios in New York and London her illustrations have been collectively commissioned for newspaper titles, book publishing, reportage, portraiture and advertising including product design and architectural studies with collaborators to her work including print for fashion design in New York, Los Angeles, Sydney and the UK.
